The network “Foot Mercato” has dropped a bombshell, claiming that Egyptian giants Al Ahly have entered negotiations with former Paris Saint-Germain star Layvin Kurzawa.
Al Ahly is looking to replace Ali Maaloul, who suffered an Achilles tendon injury, leaving a significant void at left-back. As a result, the Egyptian club is seeking to sign a high-caliber player.
Despite rumors that Al Ahly was close to finalizing a deal with Jamal Chamahi from Hassania Agadir, Kurzawa has suddenly appeared in the picture in recent hours.
According to the source, Kurzawa has a number of other offers, most notably from Torino in Italy and Ayob Spor in Turkey, as well as offers from the Qatari league, but he has not yet made his final decision.
The 31-year-old French full-back’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended in June, meaning he can join any club for free this summer.
Kurzawa has an impressive career, having started with Monaco and excelled before moving to Paris Saint-Germain in 2015 for €25 million. He was loaned to Fulham for a season and won numerous titles such as the French League five times and the French Cup five times.
On the international stage, Kurzawa has played 13 matches for the French national team, scoring one goal.
