Barcelona star Gavi has closed the door on the idea of leaving the Catalan club next summer, confirming that he wants to continue his career at Camp Nou until the end of his career.
In recent days, it was reported that Paris Saint-Germain, at the behest of coach Luis Enrique, was interested in signing Gavi, taking advantage of the player’s lack of regular participation under coach Hansi Flick.
Gavi responded to this in statements to Mundo Deportivo, saying, “People believe these stories, but let me assure you, it will never happen. I am very calm.”
He added, “My dream and ambition is to remain at Barcelona for the rest of my career.”
He concluded, “This is the club of my life. I will do everything in my power to remain with Barcelona until I retire.”
It’s worth noting that 19-year-old Gavi renewed his contract with Barcelona last year until the summer of 2030. He participated in 42 matches last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
