Renowned journalist Ramón Álvarez has revealed that Bayern Munich superstar Michael Olise has given his green light to join Real Madrid. This major development clears the path for a potential transfer, despite the significant hurdles expected from the German giants.
The update follows recent statements from Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez, who claimed that if re-elected this Sunday, he would submit a massive €150 million bid on Tuesday for a world-class player “in the mold of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaká,” without revealing his identity.
While Spanish media initially linked the bid to Paris Saint-Germain’s João Neves, multiple reliable sources now agree that Pérez was referring to Olise, despite downplaying the rumors during a recent televised interview.
Bayern Munich Adamant on Retaining Olise Despite €150m Real Madrid Bid
According to Álvarez, the 23-year-old French winger has been officially informed of Real Madrid’s concrete interest and has expressed a strong desire to wear the iconic white shirt in the next chapter of his career. Knowing the player’s stance—which is always the primary catalyst for Pérez’s transfer operations—the Real Madrid chief decided to push forward with the blockbuster €150 million proposal.
However, negotiating with Bayern Munich will be highly complex. The Bavarian club remains determined to keep their star attacker, and the €150m offer might not be enough to tempt them.
Ahead of the DFB-Pokal final on May 23rd, Bayern’s honorary president, Uli Hoeness, firmly stressed that even a €200 million bid would not justify letting Olise leave, as money cannot replace his value on the pitch.
Nevertheless, if Olise actively pushes for a move to Spain, his personal desire could become the deciding factor—much like Robert Lewandowski’s forced transfer to Barcelona in 2022.
