Chelsea star Marc Cucurella has made an eccentric vow if he manages to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the Spanish national team.
Before Euro 2024, Cucurella famously promised to dye his iconic hair red if La Roja lifted the trophy—a promise he fully delivered on, creating an image that has remained etched in football fans’ minds ever since. Now, the flying left-back is taking his promises to a whole new level, vowing to get a tattoo of head coach Luis de la Fuente‘s face if Spain secures their second historic World Cup title at MetLife Stadium.

Speaking to the media about his potential new ink, Cucurella shared:
“If we win the World Cup, I will tattoo Luis de la Fuente’s face. Just a small one, but I think it would be a beautiful memory.”
He jokingly added regarding the logistics: “We still need to think about the location of the tattoo. I agree to get it, but we will decide the right spot afterward.”
Chelsea Future and Focus on Spain’s Campaign
Cucurella’s name has been heavily linked with a move to one of La Liga’s top three clubs following Chelsea’s failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. However, the 25-year-old completely refuses to engage in transfer speculation during the tournament.
Commenting on his summer plans, Cucurella stated: “I am happy at Chelsea, but for a while now, I haven’t wanted to think about anything else. I just want to enjoy this moment because this could be my first and last World Cup.”
