Olympiacos won the 2024 European Conference League title, after defeating Fiorentina with a clean goal in the final match held at Hagia Sophia Stadium in the Greek capital, Athens.
Regular time ended in a scoreless draw, forcing the two teams to go to extra time, and in the 115th minute, Olympiacos’ winning goal came from Moroccan Ayoub El Kaabi.

El Kaabi’s goal was an extension of his historic career with Olympiacos this season, where he scored 33 goals in all tournaments, 11 of which were in the European Conference League, noting that he scored a hat-trick in the semi-final against Aston Villa in the first leg, then two goals in the second leg.
Thus, Olympiacos wins the first European title for a Greek club in history.
Fiorentina lost the European Conference League title for the second year in a row, after losing by the same result, but in regular time, in the 2023 edition to West Ham.
Olympiacos is coached by Spaniard Mendilibar, and this is his second European title after he won the European League title last season with Sevilla following the victory over Roma on penalties.
