The draw for the 2026 FA Cup semi-finals took place on Sunday evening after four thrilling and closely contested matches that produced some unforgettable upsets.
This edition will see a new champion crowned, after Crystal Palace won the title last season against Manchester City, but were eliminated early in this season’s competition.
Results of the 2026 FA Cup Quarter-Finals
The 2026 FA Cup quarter-finals kicked off with a blockbuster clash between Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s men crushed the Reds 4-0 in a match where Mohamed Salah missed a penalty.
The second match saw Chelsea secure a comfortable and emphatic 7-0 victory over Port Vale, before Southampton pulled off a major upset by knocking Arsenal out with a 2-1 win at St. Mary’s Stadium.
On Sunday, the final quarter-final match took place, with Leeds United taking a 2-0 lead against West Ham. However, the London club staged a remarkable comeback, forcing the game into extra time.
After extra time ended in a draw, the match went to penalties, where Leeds United prevailed 4-2, securing their first semi-final appearance since 1987.
The 2026 FA Cup quarter-final draw results
Chelsea will not face Manchester City in what would have been an early FA Cup final.
Manchester City will play Southampton, while Chelsea will have a highly anticipated clash with Leeds United. Both matches will be played, as usual, at Wembley Stadium.
The Chelsea vs. Leeds match evokes memories of the 1970 final between the two sides, which the Blues won after a replay at Old Trafford. That was the first FA Cup final to require a replay since 1912.
