In October 2024, Manchester United fan Frank Ilett vowed not to shave his head until the Red Devils won five consecutive matches. So far, the storied English club has failed to achieve this feat!
Frank had high hopes that United would finally do so if they beat West Ham, as Michael Carrick led his team to four consecutive victories for the first time since February 2024 (against Arsenal, Manchester City, Fulham, and Tottenham).
All eyes were on the West Ham match to see if Frank would finally shave his head after more than 500 days of waiting, but he remained as he was, as United could only manage a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium.
Tomas Soucek gave West Ham the lead in the second half, and the London club almost snatched all three points before Benjamin Sissoko’s 96th-minute equalizer.
Manchester United reached 45 points and maintained their fourth-place position, fortunately for them as fifth-placed Chelsea also drew 2-2 with Leeds, leaving the gap between them just one point.
