Seifeddine Jaziri broke the record previously held by Ali Mohsen, becoming Zamalek’s all-time leading foreign goalscorer.
Jaziri joined Zamalek in 2021 and has since become a key player for the White Knights. His contract with the club expires at the end of the current season.
Jaziri scored Zamalek’s first goal against Kaizer Chiefs in a match played in South Africa as part of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Jaziri capitalized on a poor clearance inside the penalty area, powerfully striking the ball into the net to give Zamalek the lead in the third minute.
The Tunisian international added a second goal three minutes later, but it was disallowed for a foul on the defender.
With this goal, Jaziri reached 48 goals in a Zamalek shirt, breaking the legendary record of 47 goals previously held by Yemeni player Ali Mohsen.
Moroccan Ashraf Bencharki comes in third place with 43 goals, followed by Sudanese Omar Al Nour with 35 goals, Congolese Kabongo Kasongo with 45 goals, and Nigerian legend Emmanuel Amunike with 21 goals.
