Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Paul Pogba is in advanced negotiations with a French club to join them this summer.
Since the end of his suspension last March and the termination of his contract with Juventus, Pogba has not joined any club, despite interest from Saudi, American, and European clubs.
According to Romano, Monaco is very close to reaching an agreement with Pogba, following positive negotiations between the two parties in recent days.
Monaco has offered Pogba a two-year contract and a good salary, while giving him the opportunity to return to the spotlight and participate in major European competitions.
So far, the French star has not given the green light for the deal to be completed, but there is strong optimism that Pogba will accept the offer in the coming hours and move to the French league for the first time in his career.
Pogba will not be the only major signing Monaco will make; the French club is also close to finalizing another deal: the signing of Ansu Fati from Barcelona.
Negotiations between the two clubs stalled in recent days, but an agreement was finally reached to sign Fati on loan with an option to buy in the summer of 2026.
