Vinicius Jr. achieves his dream and receives a higher salary than Mbappé at Real Madrid!

Vinicius Junior has reached an agreement with Real Madrid on all the details regarding his contract renewal. Surprisingly, his new salary with the royal club will exceed Kylian Mbappé’s salary, just as the Brazilian star had wanted.

Vinicius’s current contract expires in the summer of 2027, and after the significant interest shown by Saudi clubs, Florentino Pérez’s administration moved to secure their star player. Despite initial faltering negotiations, the two parties eventually found common ground.

AS newspaper revealed that Vinicius will receive €20 million per year under his new contract, making him the highest-paid player at Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old will surpass Mbappé’s €15 million salary. However, it should be noted that the Frenchman has a huge signing-on bonus, distributed over the five years of his contract, bringing his total annual earnings to more than €30 million.

As for Vinicius, his contract will also not be capped at €20 million, as it will include numerous incentives linked to individual and collective achievements, including winning the Ballon d’Or or The Best award, scoring a certain number of goals, and winning titles for Real Madrid.

Vinicius’ new contract will run until the summer of 2030, and the new terms will take effect from the moment of renewal this year. Therefore, the player will earn a total of €100 million guaranteed by Real Madrid, which will partially compensate him for the temptations he left behind in Saudi Arabia.

It is worth noting that Spanish newspapers claimed that Saudi Arabia was willing to offer Vinicius a total salary over five years of up to €1 billion, making him the highest-paid athlete in history.
