Years later… Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Real Madrid

Saudi press reports stated that Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Real Madrid again more than 5 years after his departure from the Royal Club.

According to reports, Ronaldo will return, but as a special guest in honor of the opening ceremony of the new Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, which is expected to take place between the end of May and the first of next June.

This will be the first time that the 39-year-old has appeared at the Royal Club since he left in the summer of 2018 heading to Juventus.

At the same time, reports revealed that so far there is no truth to the rumors that the opening of the stadium may witness a friendly match between Real Madrid and Al-Nasr, as the Saudi club has not received any official correspondence in this regard.

The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium has been undergoing repairs since 2020, and it is supposed to be completed within the next few weeks, after which the historic stadium will be officially opened in its new look.

Many Real Madrid legends are expected to attend this ceremony, and Ronaldo’s name will undoubtedly make sense as he is one of the most important players in the history of Los Blancos.

Ronaldo played for Real Madrid from 2009 to 2018, during which he scored 450 goals and became the Merengue’s all-time top scorer and achieved many achievements, most notably 4 Champions League titles.

After his sudden departure in 2018, the Don’s career declined sharply, and reports said that he regretted leaving Real Madrid and Florentino Perez closed the door in his face to return as a player again.
