The Saudi Pro League has announced the postponement of all Matchweek 13 fixtures in the Roshn Saudi League, paving the way for a broader reshuffle of the remaining season’s schedule.
The decision follows the rescheduling of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, which Saudi Arabia will host. That change has opened up additional space in the sporting calendar for domestic competitions.
The fixtures were originally scheduled for 5–7 November but will now be included in a wider review of upcoming matchweeks.
The league said the review would assess the fixture schedule as a whole, with the aim of achieving a more balanced rhythm while allowing players sufficient time to rest and recover between matches.
The move is linked to the Asian Cup’s shift from its original January–February 2027 window to December 2027–January 2028, allowing the league to reconsider how best to use the available periods during the current season.
The league will hold a workshop with clubs to discuss the distribution of matchweeks and other competition-related considerations. Clubs will be invited to submit their proposals before the updated schedule is approved in coordination with the relevant authorities.
New dates will be announced once the review is complete and the revised calendar has been approved, confirming when the postponed fixtures will take place alongside any further changes to the remainder of the season.
