Real Madrid announced in an official statement that Arda Güler and Éder Militão will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining injuries in recent hours.
Militão was forced to leave the Alavés match in the first half due to a muscle injury, while Güler suffered pain during Real Madrid’s final training session on Thursday ahead of their match against Real Betis on Friday.
According to the official statement, Güler has a hamstring tear in his right leg. The newspaper AS reports that his absence will last at least four weeks, meaning he will miss all of Real Madrid’s remaining matches this season.
Meanwhile, Militão underwent an MRI scan and is also suffering from a hamstring injury, but in his left leg. He is expected to require a similar recovery period before returning to the pitch.
According to Marca, Militao’s injury specifically puts his participation in the 2026 World Cup with the Brazilian national team in serious jeopardy, especially as it is his third muscle injury in less than six months.
It should be noted that the other center-back, Raul Asensio, has recovered from his stomach pains and has begun gradually participating in group training. He is expected to be included in Real Madrid’s squad for the upcoming match against Betis at La Cartuja Stadium.
