Barcelona announced in an official statement that it has received the necessary approvals to return and play its matches at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium.
Barcelona has been absent from its historic stadium for two years due to renovations, forcing the Catalan club to play its matches at Montjuïc Stadium.
Barcelona was supposed to return to Camp Nou at the beginning of this season, but the club did not receive approval from the Catalan government due to safety and security requirements.
Since August, Barça has been working to meet all the requirements, and these efforts have finally succeeded, and they have obtained the necessary permit.
According to the statement, the Barcelona-Athletic Bilbao match, scheduled for next Sunday, will be played at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium, and the Blaugrana will continue their domestic and continental campaigns this season at their historic home ground.
The initial capacity is expected to be around 50,000 spectators, and this will increase as the necessary construction work and safety requirements are completed.
