After a long wait, Aaron Salem Boupendza appeared on Friday, but at Bucharest Airport in Romania in preparation for his transfer to Rapid Bucharest.
Zamalek had announced that the Gabonese player had signed contracts to transfer to the White Castle, and according to these contracts the club obtained his international card from “FIFA”.
Over the past week, the rumors about Boupendza did not stop after his agent came out and denied that he had signed for Zamalek, despite his association with many clubs.
Ultimately, Boupendza will not play for Zamalek, and will move to Rapid Bucharest to sign a contract that will keep him with the Romanian club for three years, according to what was reported by the media there.
When he appeared at the airport, the media asked Boupendza about Zamalek, to which he replied, “I do not want to comment on anything about Zamalek.”
The Egyptian press confirmed that Zamalek is about to file an official complaint against the Gabonese international with FIFA because of his joining Rapid Bucharest despite signing the contracts to transfer to the Egyptian club.
It is worth noting that Zamalek has included the Palestinian striker Omar Farag and the Polish winger Konrad Michalak, and it is assumed that the third of them was Boupendza, but the deal has now been confirmed to have failed.
