Mundo Deportivo reported that Bernardo Silva could move from Manchester City to Barcelona next summer at what appears to be a very low cost.
Silva was linked to joining Barcelona in the last 3 years, but in the end, due to the stifling economic crisis, the Blaugrana management did not succeed in finalizing the deal.
But this time, the door is wide open for Joan Laporta’s management to include Silva, as Mundo Deportivo indicates that the player has set a special penalty clause next summer to leave only to Barcelona.
According to the report, the Portuguese international can join Barcelona for only 50 million pounds, and this release clause is only allocated to the Spanish club and not to any other club.
In practical terms, this is still a large number for Barcelona, and the Catalan club would first need to sell one of its players to make room for Silva to join in line with Financial Fair Play rules.
It is noteworthy that Bernardo Silva continues to be one of City’s stars this season, as he participated in 37 matches in all tournaments, during which he scored 9 goals and assisted 5 others.
