Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen has reassured football fans worldwide that he is “feeling good” and his “recovery has already started.” The positive update comes after the player was released from the hospital less than 24 hours after collapsing during Denmark’s international friendly against Ukraine.
The 34-year-old midfielder, who famously suffered a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, held his chest in the 65th minute of Sunday’s fixture before falling to the ground. Eriksen briefly lost consciousness, prompting medical staff to rush onto the pitch. The match was immediately halted and subsequently abandoned.
