The 21-year-old moved to Como in the summer of 2014 and impressed in Serie A, prompting Tottenham to offer over €70 million for him last summer.

Due to the player’s desire to return to the Santiago Bernabéu, he rejected the offer, with Real Madrid promising to activate the buy-back clause in the summer of 2026.

Florentino Pérez’s administration will keep its promise, believing that Paz is the missing piece in the attacking midfield, especially since Real Madrid does not intend to make any further attacking signings this summer.

According to the newspaper AS, the deadline to activate the buy-back clause for a fee not exceeding €15 million is May 30th. Real Madrid’s management has already taken action and informed all relevant parties of their intention to finalize the deal.

This season, Paz has played 37 matches for Como across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 8 assists.

The Argentine player is expected to replace Franco Mastantono, who is anticipated to leave Real Madrid on loan to gain more playing time next season.
