Bayern Munich confirmed in their statement that Serge Gnabry suffered a tear in the adductor muscle of his right thigh.
The German club did not specify the expected duration of Gnabry’s absence, only stating that it would be for an extended period.
According to the newspaper Bild, Gnabry will need at least two to three months to recover and return to action.
Thus, Gnabry’s season with Bayern Munich, who are competing for a historic treble, has come to an end.

According to the report, Serge Gnabry’s participation in the 2026 World Cup with the German national team is now in doubt, and it is highly unlikely he will be able to join Julian Nagelsmann’s squad.
The duration of his absence may vary slightly from the expected two to three months, depending on the severity of the injury and the progress of his rehabilitation during the initial weeks, giving him hope of making it to the World Cup.

The 30-year-old has made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals (8 in the Bundesliga and 2 in the Champions League) and providing 11 assists.
Gnabry helped Bayern Munich practically secure the Bundesliga title, but he will now miss the remaining two competitions: the Champions League and the German Cup.
The Bavarian giants will face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final, while in the German Cup they will travel to the BayArena on April 25.
