Saudi interest in signing Mohamed Salah remains strong, and it is expected that more than one club in the Saudi Professional League will try to attract the Egyptian star in the upcoming summer transfer window, especially given his difficult season with Liverpool.
Since the summer of 2023, Saudi clubs have been trying to sign the “Egyptian King,” who ultimately renewed his contract with Liverpool last year until the summer of 2027. However, it is not out of the question that he could leave next summer if he continues at his current level.
TalkSport indicated that Al-Hilal remains the most interested in signing Salah next summer, but they are not the only Saudi club aspiring to the services of the 32-year-old.
According to the report, Al-Qadisiyah has also made Salah their top priority for next summer and is ready to compete with Al-Hilal and convince the Egyptian to join Mitchell’s squad.
Al-Qadisiyah is one of the wealthiest clubs in Saudi Arabia, and since returning to the Saudi Professional League last season, it has become a serious contender, finishing fourth and reaching the King’s Cup final, which it lost to Al-Ittihad.
Al-Qadisiyah possesses the financial resources to acquire Mohamed Salah from Liverpool and offer him a salary that would make him one of the highest-paid players in football history.
It is worth noting that Al-Ittihad is also likely to make another attempt to sign Salah, while the player has yet to decide whether to accept a move to Saudi Arabia or remain in Europe if he leaves Liverpool before the end of his contract.
