Ahmed Sayed Zizo was at the center of a moment that sparked considerable controversy during Al Ahly’s presentation of the 2025 Egyptian Super Cup trophy following their 2-0 victory over Zamalek in the final.
As is customary, officials stood on the podium, with Zamalek’s representative being the club’s vice president, Hisham Nasr, and Al Ahly’s treasurer, Khaled Mortagy, beside him.
The players greeted all the officials, and when Zizo appeared, he greeted everyone but walked past Hisham Nasr without extending his hand to shake hands with the Zamalek official.
Nasr immediately complained to Mortagy, who was standing next to him, about this highly disrespectful behavior. It remains to be seen how Al Ahly will handle the situation.

Zizo’s relationship with Hisham Nasr has been extremely strained since 2024, specifically since the Zamalek vice president went to the media and stated that the player wanted 60 million Egyptian pounds per season to renew his contract.
This was the spark that ignited Zizo’s series of crises with Zamalek, which ultimately led to his dramatic transfer to Al Ahly.
Zizo was furious that Hisham Nasr had revealed contractual details to the fans, causing widespread anger against him. At the same time, he vehemently denied the accuracy of the figures circulated by the Zamalek official.
It’s worth noting that after winning the Super Cup with Al Ahly, Zizo spoke very favorably of Zamalek, stating that the Red Devils had secured the title against a formidable opponent.
