Will Hossam Abdel-Maguid move from Zamalek to Al-Ahly?

Hossam Abdel-Maguid’s future with Zamalek is currently a highly contentious issue for the White Knights, amid reports of intense negotiations with Al-Ahly to acquire the central defender after his contract with the Mit Okba club expires.

Hossam Abdel-Maguid’s contract with Zamalek still extends until the summer of 2027. However, he is likely to leave if he does not renew it next winter or summer, hoping to generate some cash instead of leaving for free.

Famous journalist Ahmed Shobeir confirmed that Al-Ahly is not negotiating with the distinguished central defender, indicating that all the rumors in this regard are baseless and that the Egyptian international is currently out of the plans of Mahmoud El-Khatib’s management.

At the same time, Shobeir called on the Zamalek management to allow Hossam Abdel-Maguid to leave if he so desires, warning against a repeat of the Ahmed Sayed Zizo scenario, when the club waited until the last minute to renew his contract and ended up playing for traditional rivals Al-Ahly.

It should be noted that Hossam Abdel-Maguid has received several European offers, but Zamalek is setting an initial $3 million price tag to agree to his sale. This comes at a time when the club’s economic crisis is worsening, which could eventually force Hussein Labib’s management to sell.

Zamalek is said to be resuming negotiations with Hossam Abdel-Maguid regarding a renewal within the next few months, specifically once the October land crisis is resolved.
