Hussein Labib Saves Zamalek from a New FIFA Case!

Egyptian media reported that Zamalek President Hussein Labib succeeded in sparing the club from a new FIFA complaint, amid the severe economic crisis the Egyptian giants have been facing over the past month.

Zamalek signed Salah Musaddek from Nahdet Zemmamra last January and was supposed to pay the second half of the deal ($250,000) in two installments, the first in October and the second in January.

Due to the dire financial crisis in Mit Okba, Zamalek was unable to meet the payment, prompting Nahdet Zemmamra’s management to threaten to resort to FIFA to secure the club’s rights. This prompted Hussein Labib’s intervention to salvage the situation.

Journalist Khaled El-Ghandour reports that Hussein Labib contacted Nahdat Berkane president Abdel Salam Belqshour by phone and explained the crisis Zamalek is facing. Due to the friendly relationship between the two clubs, the Moroccan agreed not to file a complaint against Egyptian Club after understanding the difficult economic situation the club is facing.

Zamalek finds itself threatened by more than one lawsuit. It is assumed that Portuguese club Astrea will file a lawsuit against Al-Masry over the Chico Banza deal, and similarly, Ukrainian club Oleksandria will file a lawsuit against the Egyptian club over the money paid for the Juan Alvina deal. Recently, it was reported that Ittihad Tangier will follow the same path by not paying the money paid for the Abdelhamid Maali deal.
