Zamalek is close to two important steps during the summer transfer window: the signing of a foreign left winger and the departure of Mostafa Shalaby.
Egyptian media reported that Zamalek has reached an agreement with Chico Banza, the Estrela da Amadora player, to join the White Castle.
There is also an agreement between Zamalek and the Portuguese club regarding the deal, and the player is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Egyptian club within the next few hours.
The Angolan international’s statistics are not promising, as he has scored only one goal in 13 matches with Estrela da Amadora since joining them last January.
Banza’s experiences in the Cypriot league are considered his most successful. According to Transfermarkt, he has scored 20 goals in his entire career and has only played three matches for the Angolan national team.
With Banza’s arrival, Mostafa Shalaby will leave Zamalek. According to the latest reports, Al-Bank Al-Ahly is the club with the best chance of signing the player.
Al-Bank Al-Ahly reportedly offered Zamalek EGP 35 million to buy Mostafa Shalaby, in addition to an additional EGP 25 million to permanently sign Sayed Neymar, thus opening the door for the White Knights to sign Ahmed Rabie.
