Palestinian striker Oday Dabbagh equalized in the 30th minute, bringing his tally to eight goals this season in the Egyptian Premier League and putting him level with Al Ahly’s Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet at the top of the scoring charts.

Before the end of the first half, Nasser Mansi put Zamalek ahead, capitalizing on a brilliant through ball from Ahmed Fatouh that left him one-on-one with goalkeeper Essam Tharwat.

Al Masry started the second half dominating possession, hoping to equalize, but Nasser Mansi stung the Port Said team with his second goal and Zamalek’s third in the 75th minute with a brilliant volley.

Just minutes before the final whistle, Hossam Abdel-Maguid scored his sixth goal of the season and Zamalek’s fourth, heading home a superb corner from Abdallah El-Said.

Nasser Mansi, Man of the Match

Egyptian Premier League standings after Zamalek’s victory over Al Masry

With this win, Zamalek reached 46 points, maintaining their lead in the Egyptian Premier League standings, three points ahead of Pyramids FC and six ahead of Al Ahly, with both teams having a game in hand.

Pyramids FC will not play this round of matches, while Al Ahly is preparing for a crucial match against Ceramica Cleopatra FC next Tuesday at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium.

On the other hand, Al Masry’s points tally remains at 32, practically eliminating Nabil Kouki’s team’s hopes of securing a place in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

It is worth noting that Al Masry was eliminated from the Confederation Cup this season in the quarter-finals by CR Belouizdad after a 1-1 draw in Suez and a goalless draw in Algeria.

What awaits Zamalek in the coming period?

Zamalek will now begin focusing on African competitions, preparing for a highly anticipated match against CR Belouizdad, who have recently been struggling with several technical issues, most notably the suspension of their German coach, Seid Ramovic.

Zamalek will travel to Algeria to face CR Belouizdad next Friday at 9:00 PM Cairo time, in a match to be held at Nelson Mandela Stadium.

Zamalek will not play a match in the next round of the Egyptian Premier League, and will instead host CR Belouizdad on Friday, April 17, at Cairo International Stadium.

After that, Zamalek will play against Enppi, then Al Ahly, then Smouha, and will conclude their season against Ceramica Cleopatra on May 20.
