With a spectacular goal, Real Madrid falls to Getafe

Real Madrid suffered a surprising defeat at the hands of Getafe, losing 1-0 in the final match of the 26th round of La Liga.

Despite playing at the Santiago Bernabéu and enjoying tremendous support from the home crowd, Real Madrid delivered one of their worst performances of the season.

In the 39th minute, Martín Satriano scored Getafe’s only goal with a stunning volley that Thibaut Courtois couldn’t stop.

The match also saw Real Madrid’s Franco Mastantuño sent off in the 95th minute after the referee noticed him using abusive language.

Two minutes later, Getafe’s Adrián Lisso received his second yellow card and was sent off for kicking the ball after the referee’s whistle.

Undoubtedly, league leaders Barcelona are the happiest with this result, as the gap between them and Real Madrid is now four points with 11 rounds remaining.

We leave you with Getafe’s world-class goal…
