Cameras showed Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé swearing at the refereeing team during the club’s La Liga match against Valencia on Sunday.
The French international scored a last-minute goal to secure a 2-0 victory for Real Madrid against Los Che at the Mestalla Stadium.
The cameras captured Mbappé approaching the fourth official after the first half, saying, “How can that be offside? I need an explanation.”
The fourth official replied, “With the cameras, it’s complicated, I’m sorry. Let’s talk inside.” Mbappé added, “Okay, let’s go inside then. Because I don’t understand… why don’t you come over to the referee (using French swear words) if you told me to talk inside?”
Once they entered the tunnel leading to the dressing rooms, the referee told Mbappé, “We’ve already spoken.” Mbappé retorted angrily: “You come here to talk, but you won’t even look at me. You told me to talk inside, and here I am inside, why aren’t you talking?”
Mbappé’s outburst intensified as he turned to his teammate Eduardo Camavinga and said, “These referees are clowns, brother.”
