In Germany, specifically via the newspaper “Bild,” it is reported that Diaz has agreed to join Bayern Munich and that the two parties have reached a verbal agreement on all personal details.
Indeed, contact took place between Bayern Munich and Liverpool last week, but the English club was firm in its response that Diaz is not for sale. The situation is not expected to change much, especially after the death of Diogo Jota and the lack of a replacement for the Colombian player.
However, in Spain, specifically through the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo,” another report confirms that Diaz is strongly interested in a move to Barcelona. He has even informed the Catalan club, through his agent, that he is not particularly concerned about the registration crisis and that he will not want any guarantees regarding his transfer until he joins the Blaugrana.
Barcelona hopes that Diaz’s desire, coupled with Liverpool’s need to sell players after the English club’s huge summer signings, will be a means of pressure to secure the player’s transfer, even if it is delayed until the end of August.
Ultimately, it is certain that if Liverpool decides to sell Diaz, they will not allow it for less than €80 million. In practice, Bayern Munich could meet the amount, while Barcelona would struggle and would first need to sell a number of its players.
