Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has been subjected to fierce criticism from the club’s fans for his performance in El Clásico, with the latest critic being former Real Madrid star Alvaro Pinto.
Vinicius assisted two goals for Kylian Mbappé in Real Madrid’s 4-3 defeat to Barcelona. However, his performance was disappointing, as he failed to provide the expected attacking contribution and performed little defensively.
“What he’s doing is indescribable. It’s truly shameful. Look at what he did when he left the field. What a farce,” Pinto told Mundo Deportivo, attacking Vinicius.
He added, “Real Madrid this season is far from being a competitive team. The mistakes are constant, and honestly, Barcelona deserved to finish the first half leading 6-0.”
He concluded, “Real Madrid played a very weak match, scoring three goals, but what if the team was only good at defending?”
The attack on Vinicius comes hours after reports emerged that he was close to renewing his contract with Real Madrid until 2030, raising many questions about the possibility of the club backing out of the agreement.
