Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior expressed his excitement about participating in the Club World Cup, urging his team to win the precious title.
The Royal Club will open its campaign in the competition against Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal at Hard Rock Stadium on Wednesday, in a match Vinicius confirmed will not be easy by any means.
The Brazilian told Real Madrid TV, “We are very excited to win the first edition of the Club World Cup (new format), because people never forget the first champion. It’s the only title that isn’t in the club’s coffers, and we will fight for it.”
He added, “There is one problem: it’s very hot here, and the first match (against Al-Hilal) will be at 3:00 PM, so I expect it to be very difficult, and we have to prepare well for it.”
Vinicius continued, “What I can confirm is that I am ready to adapt to the time, the heat, and everything else. I am happy at Real Madrid, and we are all ready.”
He concluded, “We are training hard. I’ve spoken with the coach more than once, and I’m very happy to be working with him. It’s time to achieve success.”
It’s worth noting that Real Madrid is the club that has won the Club World Cup the most times, in its old format, five times, with Vinicius having participated in three of them.
