Vinicius Junior breaks down in tears after Real Madrid fans boo him during Levante match

Vinicius Junior was visibly upset and broke down in tears after being subjected to a barrage of boos from Real Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium during Saturday’s match against Levante.

Before the game, fans began booing all the players from the moment the starting lineup was announced on the Bernabéu’s big screen and during the warm-up, expressing their anger at the team’s recent disappointing results.

Real Madrid were eliminated from the Copa del Rey in the round of 16 after a 3-2 defeat to Albacete, and before that, they lost the 2016 Copa del Rey final 3-2 to Barcelona in Jeddah.

Vinicius appeared to be the player most targeted by the Real Madrid fans, who continued to boo him whenever he touched the ball during the warm-up and even throughout the match itself.

Vinicius appeared in the tunnel leading to the pitch before kickoff, crying and covering his face with his hands. Fitness coach Antonio Pintus and Kylian Mbappé tried to comfort the Brazilian.

This isn’t the first time Vinicius has been booed by the Bernabéu crowd, and he has previously complained about it. This strengthens the possibility of his eventual departure next summer, especially given the recent stalemate in negotiations between him and Florentino Pérez’s administration.
