Uli Hoeness, the honorary president of Bayern Munich, has openly mocked rumors linking French star Michael Olise with a summer transfer to Real Madrid.
Hoeness emphasized that the Bavarian giants will not entertain selling Olise or any member of their star-studded attacking trio—which includes Colombian winger Luis Díaz and English striker Harry Kane—regardless of the transfer fee offered.
Hoeness: “Not Even the Emperor of China Could Buy Olise”
When asked about Real Madrid’s reported interest in Olise, Hoeness was quick to dismiss the speculation. “I laughed out loud,” Hoeness said. “He still has three years left on his contract, so it’s not even a topic of discussion for me.”
The Bayern Munich honorary president continued: “Even if the Emperor of China came to us, we wouldn’t talk to him about Olise. The same applies to Luis Díaz.”
He concluded: “We have the best attacking trio in world football with Olise, Díaz, and Kane, and we won’t consider selling any of them.”
Olise is currently under contract with Bayern Munich until the summer of 2029, putting the German champions in a commanding position against any potential suitors.
Real Madrid Drop Olise Pursuit and Move for Yan Diomande
Olise had been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid after the Spanish giants identified the 24-year-old French winger as a primary attacking target following his extraordinary campaign in Germany.
However, Real Madrid issued an official statement last June denying any direct or indirect contact with the player or his representatives, reiterating their deep institutional respect for Bayern Munich.
Faced with Bayern’s unyielding stance, Los Blancos have turned their attention elsewhere, launching a pursuit for RB Leipzig’s Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande. Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Diomande and are in advanced talks with Leipzig over a deal estimated between €115 million and €120 million.
Michael Olise’s Stellar Campaign for Bayern Munich
Olise enjoyed a phenomenal season with Bayern Munich, scoring 25 goals and providing 28 assists in 57 official appearances across all competitions, bringing his total direct goal contributions to 53.
The French international played a pivotal role in Bayern securing the domestic double. He was voted the club’s Player of the Season for the second consecutive year, claiming 51.4% of the fan vote ahead of teammates Harry Kane and Luis Díaz.
In addition to his club honors, the 24-year-old was named the Bundesliga Player of the Season for 2025–2026 after finishing as the top assist provider in the league. Since joining Bayern from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024, Olise has rapidly established himself as one of European football’s elite wingers.
