Turkish Federation imposes severe penalties on Mourinho

The Turkish Football Federation punished Fenerbahce coach Jose Mourinho for what he did in his team’s match against Galatasaray with 3 severe penalties.

Mourinho had attacked the Turkish refereeing in the press conference after the match, and had previously mocked the Turkish fourth official when he told him, “If you were managing the match instead of the Slovenian referee, it would have ended in a disaster.”

Special One increased the crises when he described the Galatasaray players on the bench as “jumping like monkeys”, and with that he was subjected to a torrent of accusations of racism.

The Turkish Federation decided to punish Mourinho with a two-match suspension for what he said to the Turkish referee.

The second penalty is to suspend him for two additional matches for what he said to the Galatasaray bench, and finally a fine of $44,000 was imposed.

Fenerbahce announced that they will appeal the harsh sanctions, which will see the Portuguese player miss four matches, which he has already started in the Turkish Cup match against Gaziantep on Thursday.

Galatasaray had previously announced that they would file a lawsuit against Mourinho and complain to FIFA and UEFA on charges of racism, but several African players came out to defend him, most notably Didier Drogba.
