Matchday 4 of the 2025-26 Champions League group stage featured a number of exciting matches, with surprises dominating the results.
Barcelona’s 3-3 draw with Club Brugge was undoubtedly unexpected, while Real Madrid’s defeat to Liverpool, especially given the Reds’ domestic struggles, was also a major upset. Paris Saint-Germain’s loss to Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes was another significant blow.
Other notable results included Pafos FC’s first-ever Champions League victory, a 1-0 win over Villarreal, and Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against a resurgent Qarabag in Azerbaijan.
Only three teams have achieved a perfect record: Arsenal, the only club to have kept a clean sheet in the first four matches, Inter Milan, and Bayern Munich, the top scorers under Vincent Kompany.
Some of the big names have dropped significantly, most notably Juventus with only 3 points, while Benfica and Ajax remain at the bottom of the table with no points.
