Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly very dissatisfied with how things are going for him at Real Madrid, which could prompt him to end his time with the club soon.
Arnold joined Real Madrid last summer from Liverpool for €10 million, but unfortunately for him, Los Blancos are going through a very difficult period both on and off the pitch, and he himself has suffered numerous injuries in recent months.
According to English reports, Real Madrid officials made several promises to the player before his move to the Santiago Bernabéu, but hardly any of them have been fulfilled.
Arnold has been experiencing growing anger and extreme disappointment lately, and it is said that he may be open to a move to a new club next summer.
The exact nature of the broken promises remains unclear, but it likely relates to the way his injuries have been handled, the lack of media protection, and the uncertainty surrounding his starting position on the right flank. He now faces constant competition, even from Fede Valverde, who primarily plays in midfield.
Since joining Real Madrid, the 25-year-old has only made 11 appearances, contributing one assist. He is currently sidelined with an injury and is expected to return to action in February.
During Xabi Alonso’s time at Real Madrid, the Spanish coach clearly preferred Dani Carvajal due to the Englishman’s perceived physical and defensive weaknesses. It is anticipated that this pattern will not change much with Arbeloa, potentially putting him in a difficult position in the near future.
