The German network “Sky Sports” reported that Eintracht Frankfurt rejected Manchester City’s first offer to buy Omar Marmoush this winter.
The main crisis in the negotiations between the two clubs comes in Frankfurt’s desire to earn at least 80 million euros from Marmoush, while City’s offer did not exceed 60 million euros.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, despite the German rejection of the first offer, Manchester City is still confident in its ability to close the deal very soon.
Romano confirmed that a new round of negotiations between the two clubs will start in the next few hours, with an improved offer that City will send to Frankfurt before the end of this week.
For his part, Marmoush is still determined to move to City, and he sees this as the ideal opportunity for him in his career and may not come again, so he is pressing for his part to allow him to leave.
In the same context, the Frankfurt management highly appreciates Marmoush’s commitment despite all the surrounding noise, and therefore may facilitate his exit in January, even if they want to reap the greatest financial benefit from him.
Since the return of the Bundesliga last week, the Egyptian star has succeeded in scoring two goals and creating two others, leading Frankfurt to move away in third place in the competition’s standings.
