Liverpool suffered their first defeat this season in the Premier League, after losing to their guest Nottingham Forest by 1-0 at Anfield.
Nottingham’s only goal came in the 72nd minute through Callum Hudson-Odoi, inflicting the Reds’ first defeat in Arne Slot’s career as Liverpool coach.
Nottingham’s victory over Liverpool at Anfield is the club’s first historic victory over the Reds at their home stadium since 1969.
Mohamed Salah participated in the match from start to finish, but for the first time he failed to score or assist this season with Liverpool.
This defeat is only the third defeat suffered by Virgil van Dijk with Liverpool at Anfield throughout his career with the Reds, which has extended since 2018.
Liverpool’s balance froze at nine points in second place, while Manchester City continues to lead with a full mark of 12 points.
