Cristiano Ronaldo made his long-awaited return to action for Al-Nassr after a three-month absence, taking little time to rediscover his scoring touch in a comfortable 4–0 victory over Al-Riyadh.
The Portuguese superstar had last featured for the Saudi club against Damac on May 21, 2026, before taking an extended break following his World Cup campaign with Portugal. He subsequently missed Al-Nassr’s opening matches against Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League and Al-Diriyah in the King Cup due to a lack of match fitness.
Ronaldo started on the bench against Al-Riyadh before manager Ange Postecoglou introduced him in the 62nd minute to replace Abdullah Al-Hamdan, marking his first official minutes of the 2026–27 season.
Just 21 minutes after coming on, the 41-year-old received a pass from Ayman Yahya inside the penalty area and dispatched a first-time finish from close range in the 83rd minute, sealing the 4–0 victory and capping off his return in style.
The goal brought Ronaldo’s tally with Al-Nassr to 130 goals in 149 appearances across all competitions since joining the club in January 2023, maintaining an average close to a goal per game.
His total official career tally now stands at 977 goals for club and country, leaving him just 23 goals shy of reaching his historic milestone of 1,000 career goals.
