Football Insider claimed that the date of Pep Guardiola’s departure from coaching Manchester City has already been set.
The Catalan coach has been coaching the English club since 2016, and his contract at Etihad Stadium is still extended until the summer of 2025.
According to the latest report, Guardiola has decided to leave City at the end of his contract in the summer of 2025, and will not renew it unless something unexpected happens.
Guardiola believes that he has given everything to City over the past years, and perhaps he needs to renew his personal motivations with another experience.
It is expected that Guardiola will have a one-year rest period after leaving City, just as his rival Jurgen Klopp will do, who will leave Liverpool at the end of the current season.
Guardiola’s new experience remains unknown, as it is possible that he will head to coach national teams, or start a new experience in Italy after his impressive successes in Germany, Spain and England.
It is worth noting that Guardiola achieved 5 English Premier League titles with Manchester City, and led them to the Champions League podium for the first time in the history of the Blue Club.
