Real Madrid decides to part ways with Camavinga

According to the newspaper AS, Eduardo Camavinga will be the first player to leave Real Madrid next summer.

The French international played the first 60 minutes of Real Madrid’s match against Mallorca on Saturday, when Álvaro Arbeloa’s team lost 2-1, practically ending their La Liga title hopes.

According to the report, Real Madrid’s management has completely lost faith in Camavinga after the player’s disappointing performances throughout the season, and they are now open to selling him in the upcoming transfer window, provided they receive a substantial fee.

Real Madrid’s management believes that relying on a young player like Tiago Pitarch, along with signing a new midfielder as previously planned, are the ideal options at present, compared to depending on Camavinga, who has failed to capitalize on every opportunity recently.

Arbeloa’s immediate substitution of the French international when he attempted to equalize against Mallorca undoubtedly confirms widespread suspicions that the player is no longer in the team’s plans, with Aurélien Tchouaméni following him to a lesser extent.

Despite his dip in form, Camavinga remains a target for several major European clubs. According to the newspaper AS, Paris Saint-Germain is at the forefront of those eager to secure the services of the 25-year-old.

Real Madrid signed Camavinga in the summer of 2021 for €31 million, and his contract runs until the summer of 2029. The Royal Club hopes to generate a substantial profit from his sale, aiming for at least €70 million, in order to bolster their midfield with a new world-class player.
