Paris Saint-Germain continues its efforts to keep Luis Enrique as manager of the French giants, with the latest attempt occurring in the last few hours, according to RMC Sport.
The Spanish coach’s contract with PSG expires in the summer of 2027, amidst significant interest from several top Premier League clubs, most notably Manchester United.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s administration is determined to retain Enrique at all costs, and the latest move involves presenting him with an astronomical financial offer that is difficult to refuse in order to convince him to stay at the Parc des Princes.
Enrique would become the highest-paid coach in the world
According to the latest report, PSG has offered Enrique the highest salary for a coach in the world, surpassing Diego Simeone, who, according to Spanish media, earns €35 million annually with Atlético Madrid.
The exact salary offered has not been disclosed, but it is widely believed to be around €40 million annually, in addition to a number of bonuses and incentives depending on the club’s success and the titles it wins, both domestically and in Europe.
Al-Khelaifi and his management clearly believe that Enrique’s departure would be a real disaster, and that replacing him with any coach, regardless of their name or past achievements, would be ineffective and would require a long time to produce positive results.
PSG is banking on the strong relationship Enrique has with the management and the fans, and the fact that all his requests have been and continue to be met regularly. Therefore, with the substantial salary offered, there is no real reason for him to refuse to stay in the French capital for an extended period.

Enrique sets conditions for agreeing to renew with Paris Saint-Germain
In principle, Enrique agrees to the idea of renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until the summer of 2030, but he has set two essential and non-negotiable conditions.
The first condition is that the contracts of the entire coaching staff be renewed, and that sporting director and long-time partner Lucas Campos remain. The Portuguese manager’s departure would necessarily mean Enrique’s exit from Paris Saint-Germain.
The second condition is Enrique’s desire to improve his and his family’s living situation by moving from Saint-Germain-en-Laye to the relatively distant town of Neuilly. This requires the club’s approval and assistance.
English clubs interested in signing Enrique
While Paris Saint-Germain is trying to retain Enrique’s services, the coach is attracting significant interest from Manchester United, who are searching for a high-profile manager to lead their project in the coming period.
The Red Devils’ management has not yet decided whether to retain Michael Carrick or appoint another manager, but according to English media, Enrique has already rejected the idea of working at Old Trafford and is seeking a more stable environment should he leave PSG.
Luis Enrique might be on the radar of a club like Arsenal should Mikel Arteta leave at the end of this season. His name also surfaced when rumors emerged that Arne Sloane was close to leaving Liverpool, although Xabi Alonso is currently the most likely candidate.
It’s worth noting that newspapers close to the Barcelona board have revealed that Joan Laporta wants to bring Luis Enrique back to manage the Blaugrana should Hansi Flick decide to leave at any time.
