PSG: If Dembélé were named Messi or Ronaldo, he would have won the Ballon d’Or!

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Luis Campos emphasized that Ousmane Dembélé is the undisputed winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or, arguing that there is a major flaw in the qualifications of voters around the world.

The winner of the Ballon d’Or will be announced this week, amid a fierce competition between Dembélé and Lamine Yamal in particular.

PSG reiterated its support for Dembélé through Campos, who told the media, “If Ousmane doesn’t win the Ballon d’Or, it’s because those who voted don’t have the qualifications to vote.”

He added, “The player who clearly deserves the award is Ousmane Dembélé, and there’s no debate. I’m talking about last season, not about Lamine Yamal’s predictions for a few years to come.”

He concluded, “If his name was Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, there wouldn’t be a debate.”

Dembélé led Paris Saint-Germain to a historic treble last season, scoring 35 goals and providing 16 assists, while Dembélé won the domestic double with Barcelona and was eliminated from the Champions League in the semi-finals.
