Manchester United continued their exceptional form this season, securing a 2-0 victory over Tottenham at Old Trafford in the 25th round of the English Premier League.
The tide turned in United’s favor early on when Cristian Romero was sent off in the 29th minute, forcing Spurs to play the remainder of the match with 10 men.
In the 38th minute, United opened the scoring with a brilliant finish from Bryan Mbeumo, who expertly directed a corner kick into the net with his left foot.

As Tottenham tried to mount a comeback, Bruno Fernandes sealed the win with a second goal in the 81st minute, bringing his tally to 11 goal contributions in his last eight appearances across all competitions, with four goals and seven assists.
This is the first time since February 2024 that Manchester United have achieved four consecutive victories, all of which have come since Michael Carrick took over as manager. The Red Devils have defeated Arsenal, Manchester City, Fulham, and now Tottenham.
Manchester United’s points tally rose to 44, maintaining their fourth-place position regardless of the other results of the round. They are just two points behind Aston Villa and nine points behind league leaders Arsenal (with both the Gunners and Villa having a game in hand).
Meanwhile, Tottenham’s poor run of form this season continued, leaving them stuck on 29 points in 14th place.
