Officially… Liverpool star’s season is over

Liverpool announced in an official statement that Conor Bradley will undergo knee surgery after the serious injury he sustained in last week’s Premier League match against Arsenal.

The Northern Irish international left the game in tears, and initial speculation suggested he had suffered a torn cruciate ligament. Fortunately, the injury is not as severe as initially feared, but it is still significant.

According to the Reds’ statement, Bradley suffered extensive bone and ligament damage to his left knee and will require surgery, the date of which has not yet been announced.

The Athletic reported that Bradley’s season is over, and he will not be able to play for Liverpool again. This adds to manager Arne Slott’s woes and leaves Jeremy Frimpong as the only available option at right-back until June.

Bradley’s dreams of playing in the 2026 World Cup remain alive, but the 22-year-old will need to work incredibly hard to return by the end of May and immediately rejoin the Northern Ireland squad.

Bradley’s injury is the second major blow for the Reds recently, following Alexander Isak’s serious ankle injury, which will keep him out of action for at least three months.
