Real Madrid announced through its account that the fans of the Royal Club have chosen Jude Bellingham as the best player in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the past season.
Bellingham joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 from Borussia Dortmund for 103 million euros, and quickly succeeded in leaving his mark at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 20-year-old scored 23 goals in 42 matches he played in all tournaments, in addition to assisting 13 others, and led Real Madrid to win La Liga and the Champions League.
Bellingham expressed his happiness that the fans voted for him as the best of the season. He also revealed in an interview with the official website of the Royal Club his favorite moment in the Merengue shirt.
Bellingham said, “To be honest, I love every minute and every second I spend here. Perhaps my goal against Barcelona from outside the penalty area is one of the very good moments that I like to remember.”
The Englishman scored the goal in the last moments of the first round of El Clasico, and led Real Madrid to return from Catalonia with three points. This was the beginning of Barcelona’s collapse until Xavi Hernandez announced his departure in January.
