Since his dismissal from Real Madrid, the Spanish coach has been linked with the Liverpool job next season, replacing Arne Slott.

Sources close to Liverpool indicate that the Dutch coach has the full support of the board and there are no plans for him to leave at the end of this season. They believe he deserves to stay and manage the upcoming summer transfer window, after which the club will fully evaluate his performance.

According to the latest reports, Chelsea’s management is seriously considering the possibility of hiring Alonso to take over as manager next season following the dismissal of Liam Rosenior.

Many, including Chelsea’s management, believe that Alonso was treated unfairly during his time at Real Madrid and that he remains one of the best young coaches in the world, especially after his impressive achievements with Bayer Leverkusen.

Alonso is not the latest addition to the list of candidates to coach the London club; Marco Silva, the Fulham manager who has successfully steered the London club clear of relegation battles in the Premier League over the past five years, is also on the shortlist.

Chelsea’s board has yet to make a decision regarding the new manager, and the Spanish and Portuguese duo join a list that also includes Andoni Iraola, Cesc Fàbregas, and Oliver Glasner.
