Jose Mourinho has asked Fenerbahçe’s management to sign one of Real Madrid’s most prominent stars during the current summer transfer window.
The Spanish newspaper “Estadio Deportivo” revealed that the famous Portuguese coach has his eye on Brahim Díaz, who does not appear to be enjoying his best days at the club at the moment.
With the arrival of Xabi Alonso to lead Real Madrid, the Moroccan star was clearly informed that he would not have regular starting opportunities, making the option of leaving the Santiago Bernabéu, even on loan, very much on the table.
The 25-year-old Díaz’s contract with Real Madrid still runs until the summer of 2027, putting Florentino Pérez’s administration in a strong position in negotiations. This makes Fenerbahçe’s task difficult, given that the Spanish club will demand a sum that could exceed €40 million for the right-winger.
Reports of Fenerbahçe’s interest in signing Diaz come at a time when other reports have emerged that the player is close to renewing his contract and that an agreement has been reached between him and Real Madrid on all the details. However, no official announcement has yet been made regarding this move.
It’s worth noting that sources close to Xabi Alonso confirm that the coach prefers to use Endrick or new signing Franco Mastrantuono on the right wing, rather than the duo of Rodrygo and Diaz.
