Morocco or Spain? Brahim Diaz makes his decision on which country he will represent

AS newspaper reported that Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz has made his decision about the team he will represent for the rest of his football career.

Diaz holds Spanish nationality, as he was born there to a Spanish mother and a father of Moroccan origins, and his paternal grandmother holds Moroccan nationality.

With the brilliance of the Real Madrid star, Spain’s attempts to include him do not stop, while Morocco has been trying for almost as long as it wants to convince the player to represent the Atlas Lions.

According to the latest report, Diaz chose Morocco after officials presented him with an ideal project in which he would be its first star. The player also received very special treatment from coach Walid Regragui.

The main reason for the delay in announcing this, or even for Diaz not participating in the recent African Nations, is the delay in obtaining his Moroccan citizenship due to the lengthy procedures.

It is assumed that these matters are nearing an end, and during the month of March, Diaz will refuse to represent Spain and will announce that he will wear the Moroccan national team shirt.

Coach De La Fuente is supposed to summon the Real Madrid star to play in the Colombia and Brazil friendly matches with Spain, and with it, the player will inform Spanish officials that he will represent Morocco.

The 24-year-old is expected to play in the friendly matches between Angola and Mauritania in March and participate in them with Morocco, unless there is a new delay in obtaining his Moroccan passport.
