Amad Diallo, the Manchester United star, denied reports that he deleted all his photos with Manchester United on his Instagram account because of his anger at the English club, and revealed that this was because of the “month of Ramadan.”
The Ivorian player, who is a Muslim, caused great controversy after rumors spread that he was angry with coach Erik ten Hag for not giving him opportunities to participate with United, and consequently he deleted pictures of himself in a Red Devils shirt.
But Diallo went out to the media and revealed the truth by saying, “I closed my social media accounts for a month in order to focus on the holy month of Ramadan.”
He also added, “Stop the hate. There is nothing wrong with what you did. Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims.”
He concluded, “For me, social media is a place full of bad things that you should not see while fasting.”
It is noteworthy that Diallo, 21 years old, returned to United from loan to Sunderland last summer, and this season he participated in only 3 matches during which he did not score or make any assists.
