Manchester United “Opposes” Appointing Luis Enrique as Manager!

Manchester United’s management is intensifying its search for a new manager to lead the Red Devils starting next season, and one of the prominent names that has recently emerged is Luis Enrique, the current Paris Saint-Germain coach.

French media outlets previously reported that Enrique is more likely to leave PSG than stay, after rumors circulated that he informed the French club’s management of his desire to leave next summer for a new challenge, having already achieved everything at the Parc des Princes.

According to journalist Alex Crook, there are significant reservations within Manchester United’s management regarding bringing in Enrique to permanently succeed Ruben Amorim, and it is likely that the club will not attempt to sign the Spanish coach and will focus on other targets.

The main reason for United’s stance towards Enrique stems from his lack of experience managing in the English Premier League. He has never managed in the world’s strongest league, and consequently, he would lack the necessary knowledge of the intricacies and schedule to guarantee success.

United’s management is leaning towards managers who have already proven themselves in the Premier League, with current Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola being prime candidates.

Michael Carrick still has a chance to remain at Old Trafford beyond this season, provided he performs well over the next six months and achieves the club’s ambition of securing a Champions League qualification spot for next season.
